 Pondering

    hm...

You may comment on the following in our blog.

Before you throw you hands up in the air saying "Have these people lost their minds," do some researh. Don't just believe what you're told.

In the Beginning

  • Genesis 1:1-5 states that in the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. God resides in the third heaven. The sun, moon and stars were not created in the beginning. They were created on the forth day. Therefore the earth is older than the stars, sun and moon. THAT KINDA DEBUNCKS THE BIG BANG THEORY! You have to believe the Big Bang theory, where the universe was created out of nothing, by faith, or you have to believe the Bible, which says there is a creator, by faith.

  • Because the earth was created before the sun, moon and stars, it was not rotating around the sun. It is possible that when the stars, sun and moon were created that they were put in motion around the earth instead of what the cosmetologist are theorizing that the earth goes around the sun. Cosmetology has not been able to prove that the earth rotates around the sun. Check out "The Principal" movie at www.theprinciplemovie.com. Also view the video on youtube "The Principle Movie 2014."

  • Genesis 1:11-13 states that God created vegetation on the third day. The sun was created on the forth day. Because vegetation needs the sun to grow it stands to reason that each day's length was 24 hours and not millions/billions of years.

Evolution

  • Evolution – proved, factual, settled as fact?

Much of the discussion of evolution’s demonstrable authentication as fact or theory is distracted by semantics. Obviously, words can/will mean different things to different people due to their jaundiced differences; how they were taught. That being stated, semantic diversities could be significantly abridged if the debaters of evolution and creationism would allow the facts of science to speak for themselves. One’s reasoning and the logic of that reasoning have to have a foundation from which to contemplate. What is the basis of your rationale?

Richard Lenski, an American biologist, states that because organisms have changed over the course of history, and this changed can be observed, evolution is both a theory and a fact. Creationists, on the other hand, see this change as not supporting evolution’s hypothesizes, but as an inherit factor of their Designer. A most simple example would be the breeding of dogs. There are, according to The World Canine Organization, 339 different breeds of dogs. The observable changes that take place when dog breeding is done has never produced anything but dogs. Yes, they can be phenomenally different, and their change(s) observable, but they’ve always been dogs. Never, and can I repeat, never has the breeding of dogs produced anything but dogs. Tons of variation—and even adaptation—can be observed, but evolution can’t be the explanation—logically; but a Designer creating the species of dog with the capacity to adapt to changing conditions with an infinite number of dissimilarities does validate the science of genetics—logically.

And to come back to the point of semantics, reasoning based on previously unproven and unprovable theories (circular reasoning) is a most poor foundation upon which to base one’s faith … on evolution or creationism. For those of you who have faith in evolution, can I challenge you to come up with one—just one—experiment that validates this theory that gets modified day after day . And because you are unable to come up with any, can I also challenge you to consider that evolution is, indeed, simply a theory about history; not about science. Lastly, would you consider basing your logic upon Truth rather than unsubstantiatable ambiguity, be it called science or religion?

Islam

  • Is the God of Christianity the same god worshipped in Islam?

First, nowhere is Allah mentioned in the Bible, and God is very clear on the names He allows Himself to be called by—in the Christian Bible.

Secondly, the bible of Islam is the Quran—which includes the Torah (the first five books of the Christian’s Bible). Protestant Christians believe the Bible as being complete with its 39 Old Testament books and its 27 New Testament books. Catholicism added five books known as the apocryphal books in 1546.

Thirdly, Muslims deny that Jesus was/is God’s Son, and they categorically renounce Jesus’ deity. They reject outright the Christian’s understanding of God being represented as God the Father, Jesus the Son, and the Holy Spirit—all of which are God. Muslims wholly reject any Trinitarian concept of God.

Quran, 5:73 (Yusuf Ali), “They do blaspheme who say: Allah is one of three in a Trinity: for there is no god except One Allah. If they desist not from their word (of blasphemy), verily a grievous penalty will befall the blasphemers among them.”

Quran, 5:17, “In blasphemy indeed are those that say that Allah is Christ the son of Mary. Say: ‘Who then hath the least power against Allah, if His will were to destroy Christ the son of Mary, his mother, and all every—one that is on the earth? For to Allah belongeth the dominion of the heavens and the earth, and all that is between. He createth what He pleaseth. For Allah hath power over all things.’”

Quran 5:75, “Christ the son of Mary was no more than a messenger; many were the messengers that passed away before him. His mother was a woman of truth. They had both to eat their (daily) food. See how Allah doth make His signs clear to them; yet see in what ways they are deluded away from the truth!”

Obviously, the Christian Bible teaches that no one can “access” God except through Jesus Christ: “Jesus said…, ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.’” (John 14:6)

“[F]or us there is one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we for Him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, through whom are all things, and through whom we live.” (I Corinthians 8:6)

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.” (John 1:1) "

Is the God of Christianity the same god worshipped in Islam? Let the Quran and the Bible speak for themselves.
